Job hunting? Help us design a more human experience 🤝
Speaking to a 🤖 for a job application. Am I the only one who finds that… a bit weird? If you do too, and you’re job hunting, I need your help 👀…
Speaking to an AI is the wrong way to start a working relationship. I get the need for efficiency, and there are simply too many applicants right now.
But “speak to my AI” before I even look at your application isn’t a good solution. It's dehumanising.
A mentor once told me, “Whenever you’re interviewing for a job, look around the office. Do people look happy? What’s the mood?”
There are *so* many “signals” to watch out for during the interview process… How respectful a company is with an applicant and their time is a definite signal.
I understand the excitement around AI – I’m certainly in that camp – but most of the solutions I’ve seen so far for recruiting have left me feeling a bit… underwhelmed?
👀 If you also feel like “there must be a better way,” please reply to this message or share this with anyone on the job hunt.
(A couple of us have been working on a solution…)
More often than not, speaking to a bot disqualifies you before you get a foot in the door. There has to be a more humane and automated way to achieve this.
