We have AI co-pilots for engineers, so why not for recruiters? - Help us build one 👀 (in private 🤫)
Too much of the current narrative is focused on eliminating recruiters. We think that’s the wrong approach, and we’re building a product to elevate 10x recruiters.
Here’s a contrarian take. All the talk about AI agents eliminating the need for recruiters? It’s wrong. I’d be willing to bet good money that in the next 12 months, recruiters will be more in demand than they are now. Why?
AI’s impact on white-collar work: Teams are doing more with less, and layoffs will continue. Founder mode (Airbnb)? Return to office mandates (Amazon)? Workers fired over random policy breaches (Facebook). These are thinly veiled layoffs. The better AI gets, the more of these stories we’ll see.
Flooded inboxes: In the future, job applicants will use AI tools to automate their job search and mass-apply even more. Hiring managers will be flooded with even more applications than today. For all the talk of AI tools to help them screen, they will still want a good old human recruiter to help.
Finding talent is getting harder. Have you noticed LinkedIn deteriorating recently? Finding a great candidate is getting tougher, and the feed looks more and more like TikTok each day. But, this chaos helps the company’s bottom line. When did you last hear a recruiter praising LinkedIn? They see it as a necessary evil.
To use the needle in a haystack analogy, in the next 12 months, fewer people will be looking for the same needles in a much larger haystack.
After spending a lot of time talking to people in the recruiting space, we’ve found very few startups are building with the above in mind. There is so much talk about eliminating recruiters, but no one is building a product for the 10x recruiter. We’re determined to change that.
Recruiters feel overwhelmed by the amount of tedious manual work they have to do. CRMs need to be constantly updated with data from LinkedIn, phone calls, documents, etc. Getting data out of these tools and into the hands of hiring managers and candidates also takes valuable time that should be spent building relationships.
Whilst we don’t believe an AI agent will eliminate recruiters, we do believe recruiters using AI will disrupt those who don’t.
If you’re an agency recruiter, and you’ve found yourself nodding to the above points, we need your help. We’re building a co-pilot for the 10x recruiter and are setting up a group of beta testers to build with.
Please book a slot here, and we’ll share further details about the private beta group 👀.
